The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has declared two former students, Mr. Ransford Fosu-Boateng—popularly known as "Scammer Baby" and Mr. Raphael Appiah Owusu, persona non grata, effectively banning them from all university premises.
According to a statement issued by the University Relations Office, the decision follows repeated incidents of unlawful presence on campus by the two individuals, who have been dismissed from the university. Mr. Fosu-Boateng was expelled on March 21, 2022, while Mr. Appiah Owusu’s dismissal took effect at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year.
Despite their dismissal, both individuals have allegedly continued to access university residential halls without authorization, engaging in disruptive behavior, harassment of students, and acts of indiscipline that threaten campus safety and order.
In a recent incident, the two were identified through CCTV footage as participants in an unlawful assembly that led to vandalism and destruction of university property.
KNUST authorities have issued a strong warning that the two are no longer recognized as students and are to be considered trespassers if found anywhere on university grounds. The statement further cautions current students against associating with them, stressing that anyone found aiding or facilitating their access to campus facilities will face disciplinary action in accordance with university regulations.
The university reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a secure and academically focused environment for all members of the campus community.
